So you have started a WP blog and you are trying to figure out how and what you want it to look like – meaning what theme to use. Well, I have been through all of that more than once. I have discovered and used several themes. As you can see I have become fairly – okay a little bit more that fairly – familiar with Atahualpa a theme from Bytesforall.Com. I have been using it for a couple of years and I have also used their program ThemeFrame and made my own themes. I can honestly say you can customize the Atahualpa theme without to much html or WP knowledge.
About a month ago I ran across another theme that I must say has all of the bells and whistles for people who can’t write code but want to customize their theme. The them is called “Weaver” and is designed and updated by WPWeaver.Info. Weaver is based on the standard WordPress 3 Twenty Ten theme. You can tweak colors and layout to your heart’s content – all without having to know a single thing about HTML or CSS. More advanced users can add their own style rules for extreme control of the theme.
I guess the best part of both of these great themes is they are FREE and come complete with forum links. Weaver even has a page with free, public domain header images. Drop by and check them out…
